This absolutely resonates! A salesman that does not believe in his own products! I feel that too! I learn now that frequency is important/the way we think. But I dont kn o w what to envision, what do I like?
And where is God in all this? Do you still pray and talk to God? How do you see God?
I also think that the christians are very passive, we fee l like our destination or what ever, will fall out of heaven someday.
But its more like I can create my own future...but practically...🤔 not so sure how to do that.
Thanks for your insights. You have the gift to write down how I, any many others, feel!😘
I was a pastor for 25 years and have since “retired” from vocational “ministry”. I resonate with your missionary thoughts. Have always thought something was “off” regarding the modern missionary movement, regardless of which denomination or theology. I used to be aggravated at all the JW and Mormons who were circling the globe with their “passion” and “dedication”. I was aggravated because they were “cults” and spreading disinformation and misinformation about the gospel.
Meanwhile i am slaving away in full-time ministry trying to set the record straight and evangelize the evangelical way, which of course was the only “right” way! I am now aggravated at the whole “missionary” and “evangelical” approach. Never thought of it as an ego problem before, but i think you are spot on! Disposing of the eternal conscious torment version of Christianity about 16 years ago has opened my eyes to so many other broken areas of institutional church. But i am now content to live my life and let my light shine, without the guilt pangs of not “witnessing” enough or leaving enough gospel tracts in bathrooms and restaurants!

I am a missionary, but not the way you speak about it…
