A great read Julie. Most interesting that you have taken to ACIM - a divinely inspired book from the heart of Jesus. First came across ACIM around 1997 when a Chiropractor suggested I read it during one of the many wilderness periods that I have endured during my 76 years. It certainly helped me over the the last 28 years albeit around 2017, again during another lengthy wilderness period, I CHOSE one Sunday to attend my local community Church, a progressive Christian Church here in Rosebud, Victoria, Australia. ACIM certainly had trained me well that I could always chose again and was in fact making choices every second of every day and that I could make those choices from my ego (fear) or from the love that I believe our maker, our creator (the one I am happy to call God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit) has placed within our being from our birth; unfortunately from the first smack on our bum at birth the ego centric world impacts that love and starts to seperate our minds and thoughts from God (Love). That seperation unfortunately continues during our life journey, and continues to make us fearful and distracts us through the ego voice in our head from knowing that we are truly loved by a faithful God. A God (a presence) that, in my humble belief (faith) we can communicate with at all times through pray and meditation. My time spent understanding both Scripture and ACIM, along with me spending time with Him in pray, has certainly transformed me as a person and led me to more consistent and loved based choices in my journey in the world I am in but NOT of.

As ACIM states right at the start "Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists, therin lies the peace of God".

Trust I have made sense and haven't bored you silly.

Blessings and peace to you.

Wonderful and thoughtful feedback, Barry. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me about how ACIM has contributed to your journey. I've been taking a break from Jesus for the last few years out of confusion but maybe this will help to bridge that gap again. Blessings.

I appreciate the idea of no wrong or bad decisions. Now I need to decide do I follow your advice or go within and ask the spirit. Kind of joking there. But I think that is what Jesus meant when he said let him who has ears to hear, hear. I read you are kind of taking a break from Jesus. Although I am also taking a break from some of the doctrine of church-jesus. He is my salvation and I will trust him. I do listen to a lot of people but I love it when God writes it on my heart ❤️.

Some people died never entering the promised land.

Your story mirrors my own.

Bad decisions are very familiar to me.

Yes, people often die without ever reclaiming their power. But they get do overs! Since death is an illusion, we continue on a trajectory of growth over perceived lives. Eventually it all sinks in!
